William S. Dodson Jr., DMD
Dr. William (Bill) S. Dodson Jr. attended University of Florida for his dental degree and completed his post-doctorate education in endodontics at New York University. Following in his father’s footsteps, he has been caring for dental health in Suffolk and Newport News as an endodontist for over 16 years. He holds degrees in Mathematics, Psychology, Aerospace Engineering, Dentistry, and an advanced certificate in Endodontics. Prior to dentistry he worked as an aerospace engineer for Hughes Aircraft and Pratt & Whitney. He has participated in numerous medical/dental missions efforts in Haiti, Panama, Dominican Republic, the MOM’s project and other local ministries. His interests include stunt kite flying, edible landscaping, whiskey making, oyster farming, sailing, 17th and 18th century living history, antique and art collecting, story and joke telling.
Alexander Royzenblat, DDS, MS
Dr. Alexander Royzenblat earned his dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2001. He immediately commissioned as a dental officer in the United States Navy and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He deployed to Kuwait in 2003. In 2006 he completed his endodontic residency and master’s degree at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda. Dr. Royzenblat has since served as staff endodontist in the Navy, mentoring hundreds of residents and dental officers. He served as Command Endodontic Specialty Advisor while stationed in Norfolk. Dr. Royzenblat retired, after 20 years of service, as a Commander in the US Navy. After 20 years of service, Dr. Royzenblat is honored to continue the pursuit of excellence in the endodontic field at 757 Endodontics. He is a Diplomate of Endodontics and certified in Moderate IV Sedation.
Vanessa Motos, DMD
Dr. Motos is a graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine of New Jersey in 2007. She immediately commissioned in the United States Navy where she served as a dental officer until 2014. She was stationed in Parris Island, SC, Okinawa, Japan, Great Lakes, and finally as staff dental provider at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. While in Okinawa, Dr. Motos participated in a humanitarian tour in Cambodia. Dr. Motos is certified in the Commonwealth to provide IV sedation and maintains certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). She is qualified in providing minimal to moderate forms of conscious sedation via nitrous, oral and IV. By concentrating her dental practice to sedation, Dr. Motos allows the rest of the endodontic team to focus on the endodontic treatment at hand. Dr. Motos is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Dental Association, and Academy of Dental Society of Anesthesiology. She is bilingual in English and Tagalog.
Kathy Ligon, DDS, MS
Dr. Ligon is a proud alumni of Marquette University School of Dentistry (Milwaukee, WI) and the Naval Postgraduate Dental School (Bethesda, MD) where she received her Endodontic specialty certification. She is delighted to follow her Vietnam Veteran father’s footsteps in service to our country and has over 10 years of experience as a US Naval Dental Officer. Prior to her dental career, she earned dual BS degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering from NC State University (Raleigh, NC) and had a prosperous career with PwC/IBM as a client-centered business management consultant with seven years of Big 5 consulting experience delivering multimillion-dollar client savings to Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Ligon enjoys time with family and friends, watching boats parade in the bay, and discovering the art of fishing with patience. She is excited to be part of the 757 Endodontics family and looks forward to taking care of your Endodontic needs.
Thomas P. Carroll, DDS, MS
Dr. Carroll hails from a large Irish family with eleven siblings from the Windy City of Chicago. From a family of predominantly healthcare professionals he joined his father and two older sisters in the field of dentistry graduating from Loyola University. While most of his family enjoys residing in his home state of Illinois, Dr. Carroll has appreciated three decades of experience around the world in both private and military environments. He possesses a highly skilled proficiency in restorative dentistry, which he has used to successfully tackle challenging and complex treatment plans. His passion to relieve patients’ pain inspired him to specialize in Endodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School. Dr. Carroll is meticulous in every facet of the dental care he provides and takes that same precision in tending to his bonsai garden. An avid swimmer and indoor cyclist he also enjoys home DIY projects as well as the culinary arts.
Kittima Boonsirisermsook, DDS
Dr. Boons hails from sunny Santa Ana, California and has a degree from the University of California, Los Angeles where she majored in Psychobiology. She earned her dental degree from New York University. With an adventurous spirit, she has served in the United States Navy since 2006 where she deployed on Naval Warships, assisted in humanitarian missions, and lived in exotic places worldwide. She is a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. She faces her fears of public speaking as a member of Toastmasters International and enjoys ballroom dancing, playing pool, cooking, exploring, and traveling. Her current favorite cities are Kyoto, Cairo, and Shanghai. She hopes her compassionate nature and empathy will shine through during your visit.
Frederick Rumford, DMD, MS
Dr. Rumford attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and began his career as a Naval Dental Officer in 2007. After finishing a General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, he practiced general dentistry before specializing. He completed endodontic training at the Naval Post Graduate Dental School in 2015 achieving Diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Rumford completed multiple deployments on aircraft carriers and has been stationed across the U.S. and in Okinawa with the Navy and Marines. Prior to beginning his dental career, he worked as a Cyclotron Operator at the Harvard University Cyclotron Laboratory in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital to deliver proton radiotherapy cancer treatments. He enjoys cooking with family and friends, traveling and being outdoors. Dr. Rumford is honored to be part of the 757 Endodontics team providing care for the residents of Hampton Roads.
Khine Htet, DDS, MS
Dr. Htet was born in Myanmar and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was 11 years old. She grew up in Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of California, San Diego. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California (Fight On!). USC is a special place because that is also where she met her husband. She was commissioned as a dental officer of the United States Army and served at Fort Myer, VA; Okinawa, Japan; and Fort Eustis, VA. She completed her endodontic residency at Fort Gordon Advanced Education in Endodontics Training Program and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. She was stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia as an Endodontist prior to separating from the Army after 9 years of honorable service. She and her husband have a son and two dogs. She is a big kid at heart and shares a love for all things Disney and Harry Potter with her sister. She enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, calligraphy, and training for half marathons in her free time.
Jennifer Schlesinger, DMD, MBA
Dr. Jennifer Schlesinger earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Her love of dentistry started before dental school when she was a dental assistant in her home state of Delaware. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Schlesinger commissioned into the United States Army and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Sill, OK. She also served as a general dentist in the beautiful states of Hawaii and Colorado before specializing in endodontics. She left the military after five years of honorable service and went on to complete her endodontic residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She enjoys spending time with her family and has a love of animals. She has been to the Virginia Zoo more than 100 times! She has a calm demeanor and is honored to care for the people in the Hampton Roads area.
